About the gallery-
The Katharina Rich Perlow Gallery was founded in 1985 and handles contemporary painting, sculpture and modernism of established and mid-career artists. The gallery has recently moved to "The Carlyle" building at 980 Madison Avenue, only a few blocks from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This new space, is sized to showcase an eclectic and select group of artists as they might appear in a personal collector's gallery, giving the art an intimate sense of accessibility.
"...new to the Gallery, Fred Danziger investigates the relationship between the city and its inhabitants.
Cinematically and candidly catching New York City at a moment in time, the works eloquently echo a breath of the cityscape- full of life, color, movement, and light. Taxis, advertisements, tourists and delis become one in the whirlwind that is the city constituting a complete sensory experience of sights sounds and smells.
Brilliantly encompassing the essence of New York, the works are brimming with intensity and offer a stimulating glimpse into the heady atmosphere of the metropolis."
